About Us . . .

Barry Jackson
D.O.

Barry graduated in 1988 after completing a 4 year full-time diploma at the British School of Osteopathy and established the practice, the first in West Cumbria, with his wife Judith in 1989. Barry has many years experience treating people of all ages with a wide variety of problems.

‘My satisfaction comes from helping resolve a problem for someone who has, in many instances, had symptoms for many weeks or months. It is also rewarding to play a part in maintaining a person’s physical health and encouraging people to take an active role in keeping themselves well.’

Delphine Pessemier
M.Ost

Delphine qualified from the European School of Osteopathy in 2013 and worked in several practices in Kent and London before moving to Cumbria and joining Workington Osteopaths in 2021. She uses a variety of gentle hands on techniques including cranial and structural osteopathy.

‘I have an interest in people and enjoy treating people of all ages and backgrounds. I find it rewarding to help someone move away from their pain and to gain awareness of the underlying issues that might be contributing to their problem. I am French and a mother of two primary school children and when I am not working or looking after them I enjoy meditation, tai chi, walking and photography.’

Kate Warrior
M.Ost

Kate is an Osteopath (M.Ost) and Sports Rehabilitation Therapist (BSc Hons). She is originally from Northamptonshire but relocated to Cumbria to be closer to her family and the great outdoors.
Kate studied Sports Rehab at the University of Cumbria, graduating in 2017, she worked a lot in rugby, doing pitch side first aid and injury rehabilitation. Kate has a passion for learning and decided to progress her career by studying Osteopathy at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent. Kate graduated as an osteopath in 2021, and worked within the NHS, in a physiotherapy outpatient clinic, alongside working in private practice. Kate is a structurally based practitioner, but she also enjoys and uses functional techniques, such as cranial-sacral therapy and METs. In addition Kate is trained in the use of Dry Needling (Medical Acupuncture) and kinesiology taping (K-Tape) to aid her treatments.

‘I am happy to treat all patients, no matter what age or ailments. I am also happy to provide exercises and rehabilitation advice for those who would like it. I have two small dogs, who need a lot of walking, so if I’m not working I am walking, paddle boarding or baking!’
